Alfonso Costa Jr. currently serves as Executive Vice President of Falcone Residential (Falcone Group LLC), where he is responsible for leading the firm's workforce and affordable housing platform, as well as its Opportunity Zones strategy. Prior to his current role, Alfonso served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where he was responsible for counseling the Secretary and overseeing policy for the $52 billion annually budgeted Cabinet-level agency. Previously, Alfonso worked as the Director of Policy Research for the USA First PAC, and also served as a Teach for America corps member in Brooklyn, NY.
He is a graduate of Yale University (B.A. '11, Political Science), where he played Division-I Men's Basketball and Division-I Men's Lacrosse, University of Oxford (M.Sc. '12, Comparative Social Policy), and Harvard Law School (J.D., '18). Alfonso first became involved with New Heights during the summer of 2006 when he played for the New Heights U-17 Boy's Team. Upon graduating high school, Alfonso has stayed involved through Summer Academy volunteer work and various other events. He joined the ELC in the Fall of 2014 and helps fundraise, volunteer through tutoring/coaching, as well as promoting New Heights brand awareness.
