Dr. Sophia Lubin is a proud first-generation Haitian-American. She is a single mother of two outstanding young men, Tyler 21 and Maxwell 17. Dr. Lubin is a board-certified OB/GYN and a native New Yorker who holds a BS in Biology from The City College of NY and medical degree from NYIT-New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Beth Israel (now Mount Sinai-Beth Israel). She has special interests in fibroids, women’s sexual health and menopause.
Dr. Sophie, as she likes to be called, is a committed humanitarian who has provided medical relief efforts in places like the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Prior to embarking on her medical career, Dr. Lubin was a science teacher educating middle school students. Outside of medicine and health, her other interests include traveling, dancing, and exercise. She speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. She lives by her favorite quote written by famed poet and author Maya Angelou: My mission is life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style!
